As the current operating environment evolves in response to COVID-19, the public is beginning to understand what everyone in our industry has known for decades: trucking is the lifeblood of our supply chain and the key mover of the national economy!
We know you may be facing operational challenges as you work to resupply grocery stores, pharmacies, hospitals, fuel stations and other essential elements of the supply chain. Here’s one aspect of your operation you can continue to count on: PrePass weigh station bypass and electronic toll payment services are running normally overall.
We are well versed in disaster response and have been working diligently for the past several weeks to ensure that PrePass services and customer support remain 100% operational. The 5.7 earthquake that hit in Utah at 7:10 a.m. on March 18th temporarily affected our Customer Support Center in West Valley City, UT, but our systems are back up and running. We will update you if something changes. We also suggest using our website: PrePass.com if you can get what you need online.
At the same time, we are taking all necessary steps to protect the safety and wellbeing of all our personnel, whether from COVID-19 or any aftershocks of the earthquake. We’re all in this together!
During this crisis you may encounter some differences in weigh station hours of operation, levels of staffing and enforcement policies from state to state. This may occur in response to the U.S. Department of Transportation waiver of hours of service for drivers and a 10% weight increase allowance for vehicles in relief efforts and/or in response to state-specific directives. We do not expect these temporary modifications to affect PrePass bypassing, but if this changes, we will notify you as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, please call customer support between the hours of 9 am Eastern/6 am Pacific to 9 pm Eastern/6pm Pacific, Monday through Friday, by calling 1-800-PrePass (1-800-773-7277)
Thank you again for all you do and for your loyalty to PrePass!
Sincerely,
Mark Doughty
